AxisBackUP Configuration Wizard
This wizard will collect the necessary information to configure AxisBackUP for your unique circumstances.
To properly configure your AxisBackUP service, a small software program will be loaded onto your Windows server(s) or workstation(s). This program organizes your
data for backup and allows the AxisBackUP system to upload your data automatically without requiring an account on or administrative access to your computer.
You will create two sets of credentials (username and password). The first set will be used by AxisBackUP to log into your server or workstation to initiate the automatic
backups. The second set is used when you log into the AxisBackUP web-based control panel to manage your backup and restore your data.
To complete this Wizard, you will need to have the following information available:
- The publicly resolvable DNS hostname of your computer, or it's public IP address.
- The days and hours that you do NOT want us to perform backups - blackout periods.
- The username and password you'd like to use for the backup server login. Note that this is not a Windows account - one is not required.
- A list of the drives (if backing up entire partitions) and/or the directories we will be backing up.
- The username and password that you'd like to use for the login to the Managed Offsite Backup Management web site.
- The email address you'd like to have the configuration files emailed to that are created with this Wizard.
